In residential construction there is a lot of ups and downs. There is a lot of people looking to find a builder but, kick the can down the road. There is a lot of over promising clients who at the last minute decide they want to go with another general contractor. All these things can get us down, make us fear that there might not be work in the future. It’s hard to know who will be a real client vs. someone who is only going to waste our time estimating a job. Losing a job is very common in this industry, but, if you stay driven and keep focused on your sales process you will land more clients year after year. When we get down and stop the process, we lose our drive. We have to stay focused, we have to stay driven.
