Say No * 1 min read
There’s a lot of individuals in the residential construction world who try and cut corners. Whether they’re trying to save money, they’re lazy or they just don’t care. People are just like water, we will always take the path of least resistance. As a general contractor it’s you’re job to hold those individuals accountable to their scope of work. If someone tells you “that’s how we’ve always done it” you have to be willing to say no and hold them to the standard it was intended to be built to. You’re reputation is based around the finished product and in order to get what your client is truly paying for you’ll have to start saying no sometimes. Build it right the first time.
