Everyday in residential construction we are faced with mistakes, problems and people. As a general contractor you can never be the victim to these daily issues. You need to be resilient and level headed as the general contractor. You are the leader, people are counting on you to do the job. If you become a victim, saying “this stuff always happens to me, why can’t anything ever go right on my construction site” than you are not being an effective leader. You must keep the end goal in mind and not let the minuscule slip ups get in your way. If you want to be a successful residential general contractor…Don’t be a victim.
